Because of its natural finishing touches, your smooth calfskin belt is more sensitive to scratches. Smooth calfskin gets a patina over time. The colour of the leather gets darker and the texture smoother.

    CARE ADVICE

    1. Slightly moisten a smooth cotton cloth.
    2. Gently rub the leather in circles.
    3. Let it dry for 5 minutes.
    4. Use the dry part of your cotton cloth to polish your leather and make it shine.

Beware not to wear your belt while it is still drying or it will lose its colours.

    USE PRECAUTIONS

Beware that your smooth calfskin item (mostly your belt) may bleed onto light colored clothes, especially in damp weather. Moreover, we highly recommend you not to expose to a strong light your smooth calfskin item for a long time and avoid contact with water. In case it gets wet, stretch it out flat in the dark and let it dry. Do not place it directly next to a heat source.

    CLEAN A GREASY STAIN

In case your smooth calfskin item is stained with grease, do not use water to clean it. Instead, wipe the stain with a clean cotton cloth and cover it with ‘Terre de Sommières’. Leave the powder on for 5 to 10 minutes. Do not hesitate to repeat the operation if necessary. Once the stain is removed, clean your smooth calfskin item following the care advice above.

Like all other exotic skins, alligator, karung and selachii leathers are noble and fragile materials and get a patina over time. To protect them and avoid too many rubbing we advise you not to wear the alligator, karung and selachii faces on the inside.

    CARE ADVICE

To care about your exotic leathers we recommend that you use the Reptan Saphir cream.

    1. Shake the exotic leather balm and pour a few drops on a smooth cotton cloth.
    2. Gently rub the leather in circles.
    3. Let it dry for 5 minutes.
    4. Use the dry part of your cotton cloth to polish your leather and make it shine.

If the leather is very dry, repeat this operation on a regular basis. Beware not to wear your belt while it is still drying or it will lose its colors.

J.Hopenstand exclusively uses silver 925 for its cufflinks. Silver 925 is composed of 92.5% of silver and the rest is other metals such as brass to make it stronger and easier to work on. J.Hopenstand cufflinks are then rhodium-plated, that is to say covered with a thin layer of rhodium. Rhodium is a rare metal that limits natural silver oxidation and makes it brighter. Silver remains however a precious metal that tarnishes over time because of its chemical composition.

    CARE ADVICE

    1. Shake the silver dip and plunge your cufflinks into it.
    2. Wait for the oxydation to disappear. Do not leave it more than 5 minutes.
    3. Rinse your cufflinks with soapy water and then with clear water.
    4. Dry your cufflinks with a soft cotton.
    CAUTION
    • Keep this product out of reach of children.
    • Rinse your hands thoroughly after using this cleaner.

    USE PRECAUTIONS

In order to limit the natural oxidation of your silver cufflinks, J.Hopenstand advices you to avoid contact with water. When you are not wearing your cufflinks, we suggest you store them in the small cover provided on purpose.

    REFURBISH YOUR LEATHERS
